Bardis received a diploma in civil engineering from National Technical University of Athens in 1968.
Bardis began his career as a projects officer at Greek Corps Engineers in 1969. Two years later he took a position of a superintendent engineering at Petrola Hellas SA Refinery. Then in 1975, Andreas was appointed a project manager at Petrola International SA. Also he served as a director of projects division at the same company from 1977 to 1985.
In 1985, Bardis held a position of a director of general projects division at John S. Latsis Group of Companies. Since 1988 he has been a president and managing director at Euromichaniki SA. Andreas was a consultant at European Union-Cohesion Fund in 1994-1995.
Bardis is a member of American Society of Civil Engineers.
On February 19, 1972 Andreas Bardis married Irini Galinos. They have a child.
