Career
Orheim was eliminated in the semifinals of the K-2 1000 m event at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal. He took his education at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences.

He won a gold medal in the K-4 10000 m at the 1975 International Coach Federation Canoe Sprint World Championships in Belgrade. Orheim has won 10 Norwegian championships in paddling and he has between 20-30 top 3 results in the Norwegian championship. Most of his podium places was in teamboats, but in 1975 he won the classic 10 000 m races in the Norwegian championship all by himself.
