Andrei Khramtsov worked as the chief engineer of the Charysh and Altai milk factories (1959-1962), chief engineer (1962-1965) of the Barnaul milk factory and Altai milk factory, head of the laboratory for Russian Scientific Research Institute of Butter and Cheese Industry (1965-1971), director North Caucasian division of the Russian Research Institute of the Butter and Cheese Industry (1971-1978).
