Andrei Filipovich Povorinsky

Background

Andrei was born on October 18, 1847, in Rozhdestvenskoe, Novokhopyorsk district, Voronezh governorate, Russian Federation in a family of a psalmist.

Education

Andrei studied at Voronezh Theological Seminary until 1868, later graduated from Polotsk Theological Seminary in 1870. Five years later, he completed his course at the faculty of law at St. Petersburg University.

Career

Worked in the Senate as an assistant to the Ober-Procurator since 1875.
