Andrei Fedorovich Tretyakov was born on August 19, 1905, in the Nizhnye Derevenki, Lgovsky district, Russian Federation.
Andrei Fedorovich entered a village school in 1914 even in Tsarist times, he had to finish second-level school in the city of Lgov already in Soviet times. He liked to study and studied well; Andrei Fedorovich was often a model to follow.
In the fall of 1924, the young Andrei Fedorovich was sent to study at the University of Voronezh at the medical faculty. In the 4th year of university, he was accepted as a graduate student of a surgical clinic. Andrei Fedorovich graduated from the medical faculty of Voronezh State University (1929). During his studies, he was one of the organizers of the Komsomol-youth community and the Medsantrud trade union.
Over the years of work in Kursk, Andrei Fedorovich put a lot of effort and energy into the organization and strengthening of health care in the regions of the region, he devoted much time to the newly created Kursk Medical Institute.
He was the head of the district health department of the Tambov District (since 1929), Shchigrovsky District (since 1930). Andrei Fedorovich was the head of the Kalinin Regional Department of Health (1935-1939). One of the organizers of the construction of hospital towns in Kalinin, Rzhev, equipment of the 1st Kalinin Regional Clinical Hospital, since 1938 at the same time the chief doctor of a hospital town in the city of Kalinin.
Andrei Fedorovich was the head of the Main Directorate of Resorts and Sanatoriums of the People's Commissariat of Health of the USSR (1939-1940). People's Commissar of Health of the RSFSR (1940-1946). One of the organizers of the evacuation hospital network for treating the wounded, supplying the front with canned blood, and conducting anti-epidemic measures in the territories freed from the enemy during the Great Patriotic War.
Andrei Fedorovich was a Minister of Medical Industry of the USSR (1946-1948). He was a director of the Central Scientific Research Institute of Balneology of the USSR Ministry of Health (1948-1953). Minister of Health of the USSR (1953-1954), head of the Directorate of Medical and Labor Expertise of the Ministry of Social Security of the RSFSR (1954-1665). Member of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR 2nd convocation.
At 15 years old, Andrei Fedorovich joined the Komsomol. In a native village, he created a Komsomol community and had been its secretary for several years. He was also the chairman of the committee of the poor, the deputy executive community.
