In 1951 Andrei Mikhailovich entered the 170th secondary male school in the Sverdlovsk district of Moscow. After the introduction of boys and girls joint education, he continued to study at the 635th school of the Sverdlovsk district. In 1954, his mother and father divorced, and in 1956 he and his mother moved to the Krasnopresnensky district and started to study at the 97th secondary school.
In the seventh grade Andrei comes to the theatre studio of the Krasnopresnensky pioneer house, which was headed by E.V. Chikhacheva. In one of such performances of Victor Rozov’s play "In search of joy", Andrei Eropkin had a part. At the age of 14, like many schoolchildren of that time, Andrei joined the Komsomol. By the time the school was over, plans for the future had finally changed, and Andrei was preparing to enter the MAI Radio Faculty.
In 1967 Andrei Mikhailovich transferred to the evening department of the Faculty of Engineering and Economics № 5 and got a job at the department 501 in the group. At the same time he continued his studies at the evening department of the Faculty of Economics and Management, from which he graduated in 1972.
In the summer of 1962, the first departure to student construction teams occurs. Andrei Mikhailovich works in a detachment that builds the Lyubertsy aeration station. Everything changed in 1964, with a trip to the virgin land in Kazakhstan. At the state farm "Karynsaldinsky" as part of the detachment, Andrei, as was the norm, spent three months and returned to Moscow in late September. Earlier, in the spring of 1963 Andrei Mikhailovich joins the Komsomol operational forces of the MAI. A. Eropkin left it in 1968, working as the chief of staff. During the same period, in 1965 - 1966, he worked in the summer as a senior commissar of the sports and labor camp of the Leningrad District Committee of the Komsomol of Moscow for teenagers registered in the juvenile delinquents' room.
Since 1972 Andrei Mikhailovich began teaching. During this period, four summers in a row he worked in student construction brigades that went to the farms of the Moscow region. At first he was a commissar of the linear detachment of the faculty, and then for three years he was working as a deputy commander of the zonal SSS of the MAI "Podmoskovye", working for the last two years, 1972 and 1973, under the guidance of S.M. Semenov.
Since 1967, Andrei Mikhailovich has held positions from senior technician to senior research officers, the head of the Problem Research Laboratory, and then the head of the research department of the faculty, the Vice-Dean for scientific work. In 1975, on the assignment for E.I. Sherman, he creates a new training course "Sociology and psychology of labor" for the specialty 1753 "Organization and rationing of labor" that was in preparation. In 1981 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of economic sciences. The topic of the dissertation was related to the system of labor resources management in the aviation industry. In 1983, Andrei Mikhailovich transferred to the post of associate professor, and in 1985 he was awarded the academic title "Associate Professor". He works as a secretary of the Komsomol committee of the faculty, in 1970 he becomes a candidate, and a year later a member of the CPSU, then works in the party bureau of the faculty, deputy secretary of the party bureau for organizational work. In 1976 V.M. Yakovlev who worked as a deputy secretary of the MAI party committee suggested that Andrey should be nominated to the MAI trade union committee for work in the housing and communal services committee. The public work of A. Eropkin reached a new level. In 1983 he was elected as the liberated deputy chairman of the MAI trade union committee. During the same years he was elected to the Moscow City Committee of the Union of Educational Workers, Higher School and Scientific Institutions. He worked in the trade union committee until the winter of 1987.
In the beginning of 1987,Andrei Mikhailovich finally returned to the faculty as a deputy dean. In September 1987, the Academic Council of the Faculty elected A.M. Eropkin to the post of the dean of the evening department of the Faculty of Engineering and Economics, and after the transformation of MAI evening faculties into the evening departments of day faculties, at first became the deputy dean for the evening department, and then, in a few years, the first deputy dean of the faculty. On request of the Ministry of Defense, the faculty implemented the project of training officers of the Western Group of Forces in Germany and in 1991-1992 Andrei Mikhailovich participated in this project as a teacher, lectured officers of military units in Germany the course "Psychology of Business."
In 1994-1995, Andrei Mikhailovich worked in a group of faculty members on the international program for the training of Russian managers of scientific and technological parks in the UK. Based on the results of the internship in scientific parks in the UK, he received a certificate for becoming a teacher and consultant at the Merseside Innovation Center (Liverpool). In 1994-95 he was trained on seminars organized by the German Siemens-Nixdorf Center for Management and Personnel Management. In 1996-1998 Andrei Mikhailovich participated in the international training project on the TACIS program "Training of Engineers in Economics and Business", he was trained in universities and enterprises of Italy and France, he is one of the authors of the international textbook "Management for Engineers". In 1998-2000 he participated in the implementation of the Presidential program for the preparation of managerial personnel for the organizations of the national economy of Russia as an administrator of the program and teacher.
In 2006, Andrei Mikhailovich became a professor at the Department of Production Management and Marketing, and in 2007 he was elected by the MAI Academic Council as a professor. In 2012, he was re-elected to this post. From September 2010 to October 2011, A.M. Eropkin was the director of INZHEKIN MAI. Since November 2011, he left the dean's office and became the deputy director, and since March 2012 became the director of the distance learning teaching center "DIOMEN", in creation of which in 2001 he actively participated. Thus, in the dean's office of the faculty, A.M. Eropkin worked for 25 years. Currently, the main training course "Organizational Behavior", which A.M. Yeropkin lectures at the day and evening department, in the system of the second higher education, in the master's degree programme and in the system of corporate training.
