Andrei Porfirevich studied at Voronezh Theological Divinity School from 1825 to 1831, Moscow Medical and Surgical Academy from 1832 to 1836 with breaks and Saint Petersburg Medical and Surgical Academy from 1836 to 1838.
Andrei Porfirevich was the head of the literary and philosophical society of seminarians in Voronezh. He played a prominent role in the creative destiny of Alexei Vasilievich Koltsov who dedicated two poems to him. He was the first editor of the works of A.V. Koltsova. Andrei Porfirevich wrote a religious and philosophical poem "Immortality" in 1831, lyric poems, articles "Voronezh News" in 1834, "Thoughts on Music" (published in the 5th issue of Moskovskiy nablyudatel magazine in 1838).
Serebryansky’s song "Fast as waves, the days of our lives ..." gained popularity especially among students in a slightly modified version. Serebryansky’s collected works "The Days of Our Lives" was published in Voronezh in 2001 with an afterword by A. A. Novotochinova, V. V. Inyutin, A. N. Akinshina).
