Career
He first gained renown with his novel Los hermanos de Katia (2001) which was nominated for the Premio Herralde and turned into a movie by Mijke de Jong. Barba was included by Granta magazine in their Best of Young Spanish-Language Novelists list, published in 2010. His work has been translated into several European languages.
