Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. Joined 25th Regiment (King’s Own Borderers), 1873. Served in India, Aden. Also on Staff, Egypt, 1882.
Joined Egyptian Army, 1883.
On special service on the Red Sea Littoral (special naval de spatches), 1884. Present at battle of Tamai (despatches), 1884.
Investment of Suakin by Osman Digna, in command of 1st Battalion Egypt. Army (4th Class Osmanieh), 1884-1885.
Reconnaissance to Hasheen, 1885.
Operations at Suakin, 1885. Special Recruiting Commission with Brigade-General Yusuf Pasha Schudi to investigate abuses of the conscription, 1885. Commanded 1st Battalion Egypt.
Army in operations on the Nile, including the battle of Ginness, 1885-1886.
