Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made available for future generations to enjoy.

Barrister 1877; represented Norfolk Plains in Seventh Parliament (Tasmanian House of Assembly), 1878-1882. Re-entered Tasmanian House of Assembly, 1878. Tirst became Attorney-General, 92(Fysh Ministry).

Resigned October 1897. One of the Representatives of Tasmania in Federal Council of Australia, 1888,18S9, 1891.

Vice-Chancellor of University of Tasmania, 1901-1903. A Judge of Supreme Court of Tasmania since 1898.
