TAYLOR, Andrew Thomas was born in October 1800 in Edinburgh. Son of late James Taylor, Publisher, Edinburgh, and Agnes Drummond.
Edinburgh; Royal Academy Schools, London. Pursued professional studies in Edinburgh, Aberdeen, London, Italy, and the Continent.
Practised in London for a short time. Went to Canada, 1883, on professional work, and Iras since practised in Montreal. Gained numerous architectural competitions and medals, and designed and erected many important buildings all over Canada.
Is architect to the Bank of Montreal, M‘Gill University, Royal Victoria Hospital, and the Montreal General Hospital. Professor of Ecclesiastical Architecture in Presbyterian College, Montreal.
