Wrote over 180 works on regional geology', on the fauna and stratigraphy of the Paleogene and Upper Cretaceous sedimentations of the Volga, Transvolga and Centr Asian regions, on lithology, paleography and tectonics, and on the relation of gravitational and magnetic anomalies to the geological structure of the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics. Demonstrated the importance of knowing the conditions under which modem sedimentations occurred for understanding the genesis of sedimentary rocks of past geological periods.
