He graduated Belarusian State University Physics Department in 1991 with flying colours. After his graduation Zhvalevsky was engaged in fundamental science, securities design and worked in publishing.
The first book "Porri Gatter and the Philosopher's Stone" was written together with Igor Mytko. It was released in 2002 and made Zhvalevsly famous soon after that. In addition to "Porri Gatter" he wrote a series of ironic women's novels "M+F" (together with Eugenia Pasternak), fantasy novels "The Master of Evil Eye" and "The Master of Force", two dozen books on computer graphics, etc.
In spring 2006 Zhvalevsky and Mytko received national children's prize "The Secret Dream" in the nomination "The funniest book" for the ironic horror novel "There is no bad for you here".
In spring 2007 the authors were awarded with the "Alice" prize for the same novel at the convention Roskon (for the best fantasy book for children).
In September 2007 Zhvalesky together with Eugenia Pasternak got the "Scarlet Sails" award for the manuscript "The True Story of Santa Claus". On May 2008 the same manuscript was marked with the "Minor Prize" award at the "Cherished Dream" contest. In 2011 the audio-performance "The True Story of Santa Claus" was released with the help of the publishing house "ArMir".
In spring 2010 the novel "Time is Always Good" was written by Zhvalevsky together with Eugenia Pasternak and won "Alice". In June 2011 this novel won the third prize at Russian contest "Kniguru".
Story "Gymnasium №13" (together with E.Pasternak) won the Krapivin prize and got the first place at "DAR" (2011) Fest.
Storybook "Shakespeare has never dreamed of" took the second place in the competition "Kniguru" 2011-2012.
Since 2005 Zhvalevsky has been a member of screenwriters, who writes scripts for TV series. TV series "Soldiers" is among them.
According to the results of competition "Brand of the Year 2012" that was held in Belarus (25 January 2013) Andrey Zhvalevsky became the brand-person 2012 in the "Culture" category.
