Andrzej Szczerbakow

Andrzej was born on September 28, 1943 in Wojslawice, Poland. Son of Konstanty Szczerbakow and Lucyna (Tomaszewska) Szczerbakow.

Education

Andrzej studied at Technology University in Wroclaw, Poland. In 1969 he became a Master of Science in the area of Chemical Technology. In 1983 he was a student of the Humboldt University in. He received a degree of the Doctor of Philosophy in Crystallography. In 2005 he studied at Institute Electron Technology in Warsaw, Poland. He became a Doctor of Science in Electronics.

Career

Andrzej worked as an engineer at the Military Technology Academy in Warsaw, Poland from 1969 to 1974. In this year he became an engineer, researcher at the Institute of Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, Poland. He worked there for six years. From 1990 to 1992 he was a chief materials engineering specialist in the Infrared Detector Laboratory, VIGO Limited. In 1993 he worked as a researcher at the Institute of Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, Poland. He held this position until 1998. In 2006 he became a manager in R&B project. He worked there for three years. From 2008 to 2010 he worked in the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency Project.

Achievements

• Achievements include the development of the method of self-selecting vapor growth of bulk crystals. Patents in the field. Contribution to the development of the method of atomic layer deposition of semiconductors.
