Angela Baschieri began her career in demographic and public health research at the University of Southampton and the Southampton Statistical Sciences Research Institute, before moving to the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, where she held senior academic roles in demography and global health. Her career has since spanned academia, donor government, United Nations agencies, multilateral organisations and international development partnerships, including roles with DFID, UNICEF and UNFPA, and consultancy assignments for the World Bank and other international organisations. She has worked across population dynamics, sexual and reproductive health and rights, maternal and child health, gender equality, migration, climate resilience, and evidence-informed policy. She is currently Science Leader for Climate Health Impacts at PHF Science, leading work on climate, health and wellbeing in Aotearoa New Zealand and the Pacific.
