She is associated with the study of the psychological trait known as grit. Duckworth graduated from Harvard University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in Neurobiology, from the University of Oxford in 1996 with a master"s degree, and from the University of Pennsylvania in 2006 with a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology. Her first book, Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance, will be released in May 2016.
