Angelo Berardi

Background

Angelo Berardi was born in Sant'Agata, Bologna, Italy in 1681.

Education

He received early education at Forlì under Giovanni Vincenzo Sarti (1600–1655).

Career

He worked as maestro di Capello at Spoleto. In 1687 he was a canon at Viterbo. By 17 August 1692, he was maestro di cappella at Santa Maria in Trastevere in Rome.

Achievements

• Angelo Berardi composed a great number of works. But the most famous of them are writings on music theory and counterpoint.
