Angelo Michele Iorio was born in Italy, Molise, Campobasso, Morrone del Sannio and then he and his family moved to Isernia, Molise. He married Laura, they have 3 children :Raffaele, Luca and Davide.

He started as a Councillor of Isernia and then becamea Mayor. Then he started working as a Councillor of Public Works and Planning.
In 1990 Angelo Michele Iorio was elected as a regional council, then as the commissioner of public works and finally as the Councillor for Health, later as Vice President and in Fabruary 1998 he was elected as the President of the Regional Council.
He was the Vice-president of the Molise Region, the President of Special Commission for the Reform of Stature, Deputy of the Molise with the highest number of votes in the history of the city.
Then Angelo Michele Iorio was elected Vice-president of NEREUS and the President of the Adriatic Euroregion.
