Anis Fuleihan, Cypriot composer, pianist, conductor. Member Church of England.


Fuleihan, Anis was born on April 2, 1900 in Cyprus. Son of Doctor Mulhim and Yasmine (Nassif) Fuleihan.

Came to the United States, 1915. Debut, Aeolian Hall, New York City, October 1919, since concertized as recitalist and soloist, orchestras United States and abroad. Professor music Indiana U., 1947-1952.

Soloist United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Conference, 1948. Director National Conservatory, Beirut, 1953-1960. Conductor of Beirut Orchestra, 1955-1960, Orchestre Classique de Tunis, 1963-1965.

Visiting lecturer University Illinois, 1967-1968. Music consultant Baalbek Festival, 1956-1960. Musical consultant International Cultural Center, Tunis and Tunis Festival, 1962-1966.
