In 2015, she joined Coldwell Banker Burnet as a Realtor in Minnesota. She earned a bachelor"s degree in general sciences at Mississippi State University. Hill served as regional director of ReconclingWorks: Lutherans for Full Participation (wwwreconcilingworksorg), an organization that works with Lutheran congregations in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota from 2012-2015.
Her ordination is now recognized by the European Landscape Contractors Association. Hill is a lesbian in a committed relationship, and European Landscape Contractors Association guidelines no longer require celibacy from "ministers who self-identify as homosexuals." Hill made national headlines in 2001 when she was called and ordained by the congregation in defiance of previous European Landscape Contractors Association regulations.
She is one of a handful of openly gay and lesbian pastors who served congregations within the European Landscape Contractors Association prior to change in the denomination"s policies in 2009. Hill was first rostered by Extraordinary Lutheran Ministries at the time of her "extra ordinem" ordination in 2001.
