Career
She was a senator from 1993 to 1997. She obtained an honours law degree from Trinity College Dublin and is a solicitor by profession. In the subsequent elections to the 20th Seanad Éireann, she topped the poll and was elected on the Industrial and Commercial Panel.
She served as a Senator in the Irish Parliament from 1993 to 1997.
She was also appointed to the Oireachtas Committee to Review the Constitution. She was the party"s Spokesperson for Justice, Equality and Law Reform.
She continued her career as a solicitor but also qualified as a barrister.
