Career
Lyman is of Mexican American descent performing some of her vocals in Spanish. Lyman also has a pseudonym "Acevedo". Lyman is known for composing vocal Latin Jazz, using Spanish to English translations within the same song.
She is a graduate of the Malaspina University College Jazz degree program in Nanaimo, British Columbia (her hometown).
She appears at Jazz Festivals, and was the subject of a Canadian Broadcasting Company Radio, North by Northwest Interview. She has recorded with Rick Kilburn (Lionel Hampton and Dave Brubeck), Keith Copeland, and Dave Brubeck.
