Career
She came to the United States when she was 10 years old and speaks fluent Russian. This was her second attempt at the title, as she had competed but not placed in the 2005 pageant. Melomud is a graduate of Kent State University graduating in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Pre-Medicine.
Achievements

Melomud won the Mission Ohio United States of America 2007 title in the state pageant held in Portsmouth, Ohio on 23 September 2006. Competing as Mission Richmond Heights United States of America, Melomut beat 67 other delegates to win the crown. Melomud competed in the nationally televised Mission United States of America 2007 pageant which was broadcast live from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California on March 23, 2007.
