Career
Rechnio began skating in 1982. During her competitive career, she lived and trained in New England. She competed at the 1994 Winter Olympics, placing 10th, and at the 1998 Winter Olympics, placing 19th.
She also competed at six European Championships — her best placement was 7th in 1994.
After retiring from competition, she began working as a coach.
