From 1890 to 1900 Anna Mitrophanovna lived in Paris where she had a literary salon which was visited by Anatole France, V.I. Ivanov, M.A. Voloshin and G.I. Chulkov.
Anna Mitrophanovna wrote next novels in French: "La statue ensevelie", "L'appel de l'eau", "La statue ensevelie", "Les nuages" and "Les mages sans etoile". These novels were also translated to English and German. In 1902 she wrote an article "Le pensee russe contemporaire" in Paris.
From 1909 Anna Mitrophanovna lived in Saint Petersburg with her family and their house was often visited by A.A. Block, V.Y. Brysov, V. Ivanov, Y.N. Verchovsky, V.A Chudovsky and others.
