Anna Manannikova studied at I. Mashkov’s studio of the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture during 1915-1917 (S. Volnukhin’s workshop). In 1925 she graduated from the Higher State Artistic and Technical Workshops.
In 1918-1921 she was a teacher of drawing, an executive of the art studio in Ostrogozhsk, Voronezh oblast. She was the author of the works of 1930’s and 1940’s on the historical and revolutionary ("A girl student with leaflets", "Undeground printing press"), battle ("Chongar breakthrough", "Moscow defence"),agricultural ("A woman breeder", "An engineer"),industrial ("A shock-brigade on the line", "The industry of socialism") themes, portraits ("A woman delegate", "Pilot Gastello"), various compositions ("Violinist", "Dancing woman", "Horseracing", "Dray horses", "On the trail" and other). In 1930’s she created a number of works for the Voronezh section of the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition.
