(Schoharie, NY: Schoharie County Historical Society, 1988....)
Schoharie, NY: Schoharie County Historical Society, 1988. First edition/printing. Signed by both authors on the half-title where, for good measure, a happy sloughter family has had it gift inscribed to them by someone as well. Illustrated with b&w photos, maps. Wraps, small quarto, ix + 113 pp. Near Fine and pleasing, with just some small-scale edge-curl to point out. Take care of it. Scarce first printing of the Hendrix's account of Schoharie County and "sloughter" history. If you don't know what a sloughter is...well, I was once like you. Then I read the Nota Bene herein (prelim page iv). Beyond the history and the sloughter-ism, there is here, as well, "...a few folks tales, maps and illustrations thrown in for Good Measure and Good Reading". Nice piece for the collector of Americana, small-scale history, Schoharie County, or...Sloughteriana. L60
