In 1980, several weeks after the Olympic Games, she retired from competitive skiing and started running her own café, the “Weltcup-Café Annemarie” in Kleinarl, decorated with her extensive trophy collection. However, after the death of her husband she retired from this business and in 2008 sold this establishment to local entrepreneurs, who keep running it as “Café-Restaurant Olympia”.
