Career
Born in Guernsey, she was the daughter of a clergyman. Her husband was a judge of the British Supreme Consular Court in the Ottoman Empire until 1905. In that year, Sir Havilland was appointed, Judge of the British Supreme Court for China (based in Shanghai).
She and Sir Havilland lived in Shanghai until 1920, when they returned to Guernsey.
Sir Havilland then served Bailiff of Guernsey from 1922 to 1929. She died at her home in Guernsey, aged 90.
