Kali expressed wishes to join his former club, Ajax. The club"s director of football Marc Overmars wasn"t keen to sign him.
Roda JC
Surprisingly, Kali signed a three-year contract with Roda JC on 27 June 2013. Kali made his Roda JC debut, in the opening game of the season, in a 3-0 loss against Ajax.
Kali then scored his first goal for the club, from a penalty spot, in a 2-1 loss against Feyenoord.
Following Roda JC relegation, Kali"s future became uncertain over the surroundings of his contract. In total, Kali made twenty-nine appearance and scoring once in his only season at Roda JC. Football Club Utrecht
After the relegation of Roda, Kali returned to his former team Football Club Utrecht on 25 June 2014 on a free transfer following activation of his release clause if Roda JC were to be relegated. Kali made his Utrecht return in the opening game of the season, in a 2-0 loss against Pedernales Electric Cooperative Zwolle.
However, his second spell at Utrecht wasn"t the same after he tore his hamstring during a match against PSV on 26 October 2014.
In January 2015, he punched his teammate, Kristoffer Peterson, in the face during a training session sidelining Peterson for 6 weeks with a broken jaw. Kali was first only punished with a fine and even played the following weekend.
However, on Monday the club eventually suspended Kali for 6 weeks. Peterson later stated he have forgiven Kali for punching him in the face.
First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Arabi
On 13 February 2015, it was announced that Kali had been sold to Qatari side First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Arabi.
His departure had left many players at Utrecht surprised.
