Career

Admitted to New York bar, 1859, and in practice at Syracuse, since 1859, except while judge. United States Circuit Court commissioner, 1870-1897. United States commissioner, since 1897.

Judge Onondaga Company, 1882-1894. Commissioner to revise the statutes and code of New York, 1895-1901. Vice president. and president Loyal League during and after Civil War.
