Career
Carter was born in Melbourne, Australia. He grew up in the suburb of Dandenong before moving to Italy, aged sixteen. Carter signed a senior contract with CFR Cluj in early 2013, having previously attended Genova International Soccer School.
He made his competitive debut for the club as a substitute in the final minutes of a loss to Universitatea Cluj in April 2015.
