Career
After his graduate studies, Perkins joined McKinsey & Company, an international management consulting firm, and later helped to open an office in China. As a result, he and his family lived in Beijing for eight years where he served as president of the Beijing Branch, China International District. Since his call to the First Quorum of the Seventy in 2006, he served first as a counselor and later as president of the church"s Asia Area.
