Career
He was signed by the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played college football at West Virginia. Mims played four years at West Virginia University after being red-shirted.
Junior Year
In 2004, he played in all games, including WVU"s loss to Florida State in the Gator Bowl.
He accumulated 45 tackles with 35 coming as solo tackles. He also had 1 interception.
Senior Year
He accumulated 22 solo tackles, 7 assists and 2 interceptions. The San Diego Chargers picked up Mims after the draft.
He was released before the season even began.
