Born on 5 February 1892 and educated at The King"s School, Worcester and Exeter College, Oxford, he was ordained in 1915. His first post was as a Curate at Saint John"s Church, Kidderminster after which he was Chaplain to the Bishop of Ripon. He then held incumbencies at Street Mary, Banbury and Street Peter, Bournemouth.
In 1944 he was considered for the post of Bishop of Buckingham but not appointed.
He died on 31 August 1975.
