Édouard Batiste was a professor (1836) at Paris Conservatory (harmony, accompaniment and choral classes). Organist of St. Nicolas-des-Champs (1842-54), then of St. Eustache.

Achievements

• He composed much excellent organ music, also piano forte pieces and songs. Edited the official "Solfeges du Conservatoire" and published a '' Petit Solfege harmonique".
