Anton Grinevich Antonovich was born in the village Ivanovschina, Lepel district, Vitebsk region (now Polotsk district).

He graduated from Disnensk college.
Since 1920 he lived in Vilna and worked as a secretary in the Association of Belarusian schools, taught music in Vilnius
Belarusian gymnasium.
He was soon arrested by Polish and imprisoned in the Warsaw jail. After liberation he was fired by the Polish authorities in Vilnius Belarusian school for unreliability. Then he was again under investigation. So he ran in the BSSR.
Since 1925, in Minsk, he worked at the Institute of Belarusian Culture, in 1929-1930 - at the Academy of Sciences
of Belarus. Since 1930 he was the pensioner.
Anton Grinevich was arrested in September 6, 1933 ,and by order of extrajudicial authority from January 9, 1934 he was enclosed in the labor camp (Solovetskaya prison) for 10 years. He was shot in Leningrad in December 8, 1937.
He was rehabilitated in August 16, 1956 by the KGB of the BSSR.
