Education
He graduated from the Kherson Theological Seminary (1849), the Kiev Theological Academy (1853).
Career
In 1853 he became a monk. Inspector of the Odessa Theological School (1853-1854), teacher of the Volyn Theological Seminary (1854-1859). The teacher (since 1859), the inspector (since 1863) of the Voronezh Theological Seminary. Editor of the "Voronezhskiye Eparkhialnyye Vedomosti" (1866-1868). Rector of the Polotsk Theological Seminary (1868-1872). Member of the Petersburg Censorship Committee (1872-1886). Rector of the Zaikonospassky Monastery of Moscow (1886-1889). Bishop Kashirsky, vicar of the Tula diocese (1893), vicar of the Novgorod diocese (since 1893). He translated and published about 30 books, 20 Greek authors, including the "Stromata" of Clement of Alexandria ("Voronezhskiye Eparkhialnyye Vedomosti", 1866-1868., additions). Arseny published articles and materials in "Voronezhskiye Gybernskiye Vedomosti" (1860), "Voronezhskiye Eparkhialnyye Vedomosti" (1867-1868).
