Graduated from Tokyo University (1942).
Career
Served as instructor at Tokyo University of Science and Literature and Toyo University and thereafter became professor of Nagoya University. Pursued researches in mstory of education in Japan from beginning of Meiji Era, especially mstory of school education and history of textbooks. Author of “Development of Textbooks” and “Essay on Modern Schools.”
