Career
Born to first-generation Issei parents, Sato grew up speaking fluent Japanese along with English as a child. Sato attended North High School in Torrance, California and attended the University of California, San Diego. Double majoring in both Communications and Japanese Studies.
She then got her master"s degree in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Southern California.
