Arinobu Uematsu was born on January 2, 1759 in Owari, Aichi, Japan.
Arinobu Uematsu was originally a warrior and then engraver in Nagoya till he began studying the classics under Norinaga Moto-ori in 1789.
Arinobu Uematsu published his master's book, including his famous commentary on Kojiki. Later he traveled with his master to Kyoto and Wakayama (1800-1801). After the death of his father he lived beside his tomb for the rest of his life.
