Arjun Kumar Rathie

Background

Rathie was born on September 1, 1954 in Nasirabad, Rajasthan, India; the son of Chaugan Mal Rathie and Sobhagyawati (Dodya) Rathie.

Education

Rathie received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Rajasthan in 1974. Two years later he earned his Master of Science degree and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in 1981 from the same university.

Career

Rathie began his career as a lecturer at College of the University of Rajasthan in 1977. Four years later he took a position of a senior lecturer at the same college. Then in 1988, Arjun held the same position at college of the University of Ajmer. He also served as a principal and professor of mathematics at Vedant College of Engineering and Technology. Since 2011 Rathie has worked as a visiting faculty at Central University of Kerala.

Achievements

• Rathie is known for his publications such as "Two gaussian hypergeometric summation formulas with an application", "A new class of integrals involving generalized hypergeometric functions", "On generalization of Bailey's identity involving product of generalized hypergeometric series" and others.
