His best known work is the 1978 Oscar and Emmy-winning documentary, Scared Straight! Shapiro"s most recent documentary series have been "Homeland Security United States of America" for American Broadcasting Company. "If You Really Knew Maine" for Music Television. And "Beyond Scared Straight" for A&East (2010-2015).
Arnold Shapiro Productions has produced programs for all the broadcast networks and 14 cable channels - from Music Television to Home Box Office. Shapiro is a native of Los Angeles and a graduate of University of California, Los Los Angeles
