SHAGINYAN, Artashes was born in 1906 in Leninakan, Armenian.
1929-1944 at Yerevan University. 1944-1945 Director, Section of Mathematics and Mech., Armenian Academy of Sciences. Since 1950 Academy Secretary,Department of Physico-Mathematical Science, Armenian Academy of Sciences.
Works deal with theory of functions. Analyzed problems of mean approximation per area and the best approximations of weight in inorganic closed domains.
Since religion offers a complete set of answers to the problems of purpose, morality, origins, or science, it discourages exploration of those areas by suppressing curiosity, denies its followers a broader perspective, and prevents social, moral and scientific progress.
Member, Communist Party, since 1948.
Marxism–Leninism as the only truth could not, by its very nature, become outdated.
