Career
He only served part of his second term, upon which his successor was elected in a special election. According to the Wisconsin Blue Book (1971), he was raised in Iron County, and attended Hurley High School, as well as Gogebic Junior College in Ironwood, finally graduating from the University of Wisconsin in 1942. He worked as an attorney in Superior, and was a veteran of World World War World War II Elected to Senate 1966 and 1970.
