He played for Belgium in eleven Chess Olympiads: 1928, 1933, 1937, 1950, 1954, 1956, 1958, 1960, 1962, 1966, and 1968 (one of the biggest gap between first and last appearance at the Olympiads). In 1925, he took 3rd in Brussels (BEL-ch, qualif). In 1926,he tied for 5-7th in Spa.
