He had a course of technical study (1879-81) at "Boston Tech".
He worked as draftsman for a number of years, employed successively in Merrill & Cutter s office at Lowell, Mass., Peabody & Stearns, Boston; Gould & Angell, William R. Walker and Frank J. Sawtelle, Providence. In the latter city Mr. Hill started practice for himself about 1900, and devoting his attention mainly to ecclesiastical work designed the following churches: First Baptist at Brockton, Mass., Calvary and Fourth Baptist, and two Italian Baptist churches in Providence (1904-11), Methodist Churches at New London and South Manchester, Conn. He was also architect of the old Academy Building at Worcester, Mass.
