He was educated in the city schools of Philadelphia, Mr. Shrigley graduated in Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania in 1894.
Shortly after the turn of the century he joined the late Morgan Bunting in partnership, and until the latter’s death in 1929 carried on work under the name of Bunting & Shrigley. During later years he maintained an independent office in #1700 Samson Street Building, Philadelphia.
The firm’s major works in the city include the Biddle Press Building; Wharton Hall (dormitory) at Swarthmore College, and several Bank buildings, such as the Federal Reserve Bank (an important commission); Landsdown Trust Company, and the Drexel Hill Bank and Trust Company building.
Mr. Shrigley had been a member of the Philadelphia Chapter, A.I.A .
