Arthur Stanley Vincent was born on the 20th of November 1890 in Yokohama, Japan.
He studied at King Edwards School, Bath.
Arthur Vincent Stanley arrived in China on July 1913. He served as the Captain 3rd,Great War 1914-1920, the Royal Regt., twice wounded in France.
The Intelligence staff, Singapore 1 year. In Siberia - British Military Representative at Chita and later on General Staff (Training Russian Officers) at Vladivostock 1 year. He was the Vice-Captain of Yokohama Rugger team (1911-1912)
Swimming, rugby, cross-country and other running rowing (he represented Yokohama in several interport regattas as a sculler and stroke) yachting (with two others made an attempt to reach Australia from Japan in the 25-foot yawl the "Seaqueen" 1 ton in weight, but the craft was wrecked after three months at sea, sailed under the auspices of the Yokohama Yacht Club.
Arthur was married to Bealby-Dennington (August 28, 1915).
