Worked upon geology of Rocky Mountains, San Juan Region, Colorado, 1896-1900, geology of Copper River Region, Alaska, 1900-1901.

Geological studies in Cuba, under auspices United States Army, 1901-1902. Pre-Cambrian and economic geology in Southern Wyoming, 1902-1903.

Juneau gold belt, Alaska, 1903. Pre-Cambrian geology and ore deposits, New Jersey, 1904-1907.

Texas, 1908-1909; copper deposits at Ely, Nevada, 1909.

Investigation of lands in Appalachian and White Mountains to determine if federal control of lands will promote navigability of dependent streams as prescribed under Weeks Acting of 1911. Studies relating to ore deposits of Wyo, Colorado, New Mexico, Alaska and New England. Retired from Government service, 1939.
